VMI Off-the-Road, all steel OTR tire assembly systems
The VMI OTR tire assembly system utilizes flat drum building technology and assembles green tires in sizes from 17.5 R25 through to 24.00 R35 in a single process including tread application. This unique assembly method for radial OTR tires incorporates transfer rings and other proven technology from VMI's all steel truck TBM. Output is repeatable and produces up to 2.5 tires an hour for 24.00 R35 sizes. Down-time for size changes is particularly low thanks to a minimal amount of tooling and maximum use of universal computer controls.
