VMI Off-the-Road, all steel OTR tire assembly systems
The new VMI OTR tire assembly system utilizes flat drum building technology. This system assembles green tires in sizes from 17.5 R25” till 24.00 R35” in one process, including the application of the tread. This unique method of assembling Radial OTR tires utilizes transfer rings and other proven technology of the VMI All Steel Truck TBM. The output of this high capacity radial OTR machine is repeatable, high quality radial tires, up to a rate of 2.5 tires per hour for 24.00 R35” tires. Down time for size changes is low because of a minimum amount of tooling and the maximum use of universal computer controls.
