Laboratory abrasion tester, LAT 100
Our LAT 100 laboratory abrasion and skid testing equipment is capable of accurately measuring skid, traction, wear and rolling resistance of tread components through a special disk that simulates road conditions. A small sample of the compound is tested against a rotating disk with the speed and surface of the disk plus slip angle and load varied as required. With an optional temperature controlled disk, the compound is tested under extreme conditions such as very cold (winter) and very hot (summer) as well as wet. The LAT 100 is used as part of the DIN-Standard Norm for abrasion testing.
