Quick Hopper
VMI-AZ quick hopper solution provides access to the extruder feed section within seconds. No tools required! Locking of the hopper is provided by a manual operated bar. Available for most screw diameters.

Big Hopper
VMI-AZ big hopper is used for feeding of wide rubber slabs in extrusion systems with high output. Optionally the big hopper can be supplied with a door for quick access to the extruder feed section. Available for most screw diameters.

Hydraulic feed
The hydraulically driven feed rolls allow multiple strips feeding as well as feeding of wide rubber sheets. Furthermore, forces in the feed section are significantly reduced which increases life time of the feed roll wear parts. Available for most screw diameters.

Feed control
A roll with counter, assembled at the feed hopper, controls the feed strip. This will protect the extruder from a dry run in case of a missing strip. Available for all screw diameters.

Simple metal detector feeder
By feeding the rubber strip through a metal detector, the extrusion system will be protected from metal parts. This simple metal detector has no conveyer and is placed in front of the extruder feed zone directly.

Advanced metal detector feeder
By feeding the rubber strip through a metal detector, the extrusion system will be protected from metal parts. This advanced metal detection system includes a conveyor belt for transport of the rubber feed strip, as well a loop control device that ensures tension less rubber feeding to the extrusion system.

Advanced triple metal detector feeder
By feeding the rubber strip through a metal detector, the extrusion system will be protected from metal parts. This system is able to feed tension less three rubber strips at the same time, so that different batches can be blended during feeding. 
 

Gear extractor
VMI-AZ gear extractor allows easy pulling of the pump rotors for cleaning or maintenance. This device allows exchanging gears even for big gear pumps within a reasonable time so that time for cleaning and maintenance is reduced. Available for all extruder gear pump systems.
 

Rapid die change
The Rapid die change extrusion head allows quick change of the die package within 15 seconds. The die package includes a pre-die. If compound straining is required, the rapid die change head can be executed with a strainer plate (optionally). Available for most screw diameter.
 

Rapid screen change
VMI-AZ rapid screen changer allows the exchange of a contaminated mesh screen within seconds. The screen changer comes with two strainer plates and one ring plate for cleaning. Different sizes are available. Optionally the rapid screen changer can be supplied with an integrated head as shown on the picture. 
 

Rapid head change
Twin heads are designed for quick changeover of the complete head including the strainer plate with mesh screen and the die with flow channel. Head locking is provided by a hydraulic operated c-clamp. The scope of supply includes the hydraulic power unit and the hydraulic cylinder. While one head is in operation, the second head can be prepared for the next planned extrusion application. After the change-over the first head can be cleaned whilst the extruder is running again. 

Quick cleaning
All VMI-AZ extruder gear pump systems are designed for easy access to the area between the screw tip and the pump inlet. In addition we offer optionally a hydraulic locking and moving system that provides access to this area within 30 seconds. This solution is available for big extruder gear pump systems starting with a screw diameter of 120 mm. 

Vertical cross head
The vertical cross head is used for steel belt extrusion and offers quick opening and closing. The vertical design reduces the exchange time tooling and strainer plate significantly, as well the cleaning time will be reduced. Different sizes are available.
