VMI expands its activities in Italy

VMI has acquired the assets of the Italian company Sistemi Automazione Industirali (SAI). Under the management of Ezio Facheris, the SAI business will be continued from its offices in Bergamo-Italy under the name VMI-SAI. Under the transaction VMI has acquired all intellectual property of SAI, which allows the VMI-group to serve its customers with a wider product range, which now also includes complete lines for the production of air springs.

Production lines for airsprings

The production programs of VMI and SAI are mainly complementary and their combined products now include rubber cooling lines, extruders, steelcord and textile cutters, car and truck tire building machines, curing presses, tire testing equipment and production lines for air springs. The VMI Group is capable of installing complete tire and rubber plants.

Growth

The management of VMI stated that by adding the SAI business to its portfolio, the capabilities of VMI are enhanced, allowing its customers to benefit from their economy of scale and the synergies in product development, sales and service. It is the goal of the VMI Group to further strengthen its market position as the leading supplier to the rubber and tire industries by autonomous growth as well as by further acquisitions.
