Grand Opening 3rd Plant of VMI Yantai

VMI Yantai held a grand opening ceremony for its 3rd plant on May the 19th.  People from both inland and abroad were invited for VMI’s Tire Technology Seminar of May 17-18.

Speeches

A Holland Government delegation headed by Mr. C.Cornielje, Governor of Province of Gelderland, Mrs. M. van Haaren, Vice Governor of Province of Gelderland, Mrs. C. Abbenhues, Vice Governor of Province of Overijssel and leaders of Yantai local government attended the ceremony. Mrs. Li Shuqin, Vice Mayor of Yantai, Mr. Jiang Zhonger, Governor of Fushan district, Mr. Spanjer, Chairman of VMI Group and Mr. Cai Weimin, Secretary General of China Chemical Industry Association Tire Branch gave speeches. Mr. Zhang Jiangting, Major of Yantai and other related leaders had a meeting and talk with the Dutch delegation and top management people of VMI later on the same day of the ceremony.

VMI’s pioneer role

Mr. Cai Weimin mentioned in his speech: “So early as 1996, VMI Group of Holland established VMI Yantai, Ltd. by its wise forecast, as the pioneer of foreign companies producing tire machinery, especially tire building machinery in China.  Being leading enterprise in the world’s tire industry, VMI won the customers’ trust by its leading technology, first class R&D and excellent service and made a good contribution to China’s tire industry."

Third Factory since 1996

VMI Yantai first hired a rental factory in 1996 when it was established, then built its first own plant of over 6000m2 in 2002 and built the second 10600m2 plant in Yantai Export Processing Zone in 2006.  This time, the opening of the 3rd 11000m2 plant, is a sign that the business of VMI in China keeps increasing.  It explains VMI’s confidence in the recovery of China’s tire industry that VMI group starts its new factory under the recession of the world economy.
