The VMI Product Handling Systems division is a market leader in high capacity cotton pad machinery which converts cotton blanket into cotton pad stacks that are professionally bagged. There is also an option between a high capacity machine that produces a single product or machinery that can easily be adjusted for different products. These systems produce cotton pads in a variety of shapes and sizes including round, oval, square and rectangular.

ACE 300
Based on decades of pad punching and packaging. The ACE 300 is VMI's latest machine design which incorporates the current State-of-the-Art techniques including solid and rigid mechanics, low maintenance, easy operational and economic performance. Swift change-over to a large variety of pad shapes by switching product related parts ensures a highly flexible production level.

FLEX 500
The FLEX 500 is a fully automatic machine for extensive and flexible production of cotton pad offering easy change-over to a variety of pad shapes (as ACE 300) by switching product related parts ensuring a highly flexible production level.

FLEX 700
The FLEX 700 is another fully automatic machine for extensive and flexible production of cotton pad incorporating a combination of high capacity installation (HCI 700) and the adaptability of the FLEX 500. Benefits include easy change-over to a large variety of pad shapes through switching product related parts guaranteeing a highly flexible production level. Current HCI equipment can be retrofitted to the FLEX 700.

HCI 700

Unwinding systems
The 2-fold un-winder is the simplest version of the two available models and during production the two positions enable the swift placement of a new roll.
The ergonomic designed three positioned un-winder enables easy roll loading plus the third position provides an additional buffer allowing longer automation of the line. Roll exchange takes a few seconds.
Slitting & Winding System
EBM Product Handling Systems offers equipment to slit and wind cotton blankets onto rolls. After slitting to a required width the web is automatically attached to the coil with the winding system capable of speeds up to 30 m/min.

Embossing System
Offering a number of pattern options to the web, this embossing system enhances product stability along with a more attractive appearance. The embossing on the cotton web takes place prior to connection and the unit is placed between the punching machine and unwinding system.

It's possible to place a 90 degree Cross in-feed between the punch unit and the un-winder plus a
storage holder can be placed to store cotton whilst connecting to a new roll. A loop control mechanism (behind the Calendar) can be integrated to regulate the speed of embossing rolls.
