A few examples of the innovative systems, supplied by EBM, are:
Automatic main pack wrapper
The VMI main pack wrapper automatically packs components in a BTC (Back Table Cover) and closes the pack with a closing label. The bottom side of the pack can be provided with an adhesive.

- Specially designed for packing of surgery kits
- 3d-Vision system to measure kits per batch
- 2 product carriers to feed the kits into the installation
- In- and out feed system for product carriers

3 cell system for side loading of flow wraps
The VMI side loader for flow wraps consists of a vertical stepper, an index conveyor, empty and filled case conveyor a buffer conveyor and controls.
The picture shows the side loader.
Features:
- 3 cells combined in one installation for optimal performance
- Maximum capacity 100 products/minute per cell makes 300 products/minute
- Stepper-accelerating belt to increase the spacing of the products
- Stepper designed for infeed of one single lane at different levels
- Forming of a pattern of for example 3 times 4 products by means of a
collating module - Discharge position to push out the products into cases
- Empty case conveyor equipped with pushers and positioning cylinders
- Filled case conveyor equipped with stoppers to create space for the filled boxes
- PLC controlled
3 cell system for top loading of flow wraps
The VMI top loader for flow wraps consists of a twist belt, collating unit, case loader, case handling, filling conveyor, filled case conveyor and controls.

Features:
- 3 cells combined in one installation, 2 cells producing and one cell as back-up
- Maximum capacity 100 products/minute per cell makes 200 products/minute
- Twist belt turning the product 90 degrees
- Collating unit equipped with carriers each made up of 6 slots
- Unloading position for filled carriers
- Loader with 12 vacuum cups (2 per product) and pitch adjustment
- 6 products are simultaneously loaded in one case
- Empty case conveyor equipped with pushers and positioning cylinders
- Filled case conveyor equipped with stoppers to create space for the filled boxes
- Each cell equipped with its own controls and MMI
- Empty and filled case conveyors also equipped with separate controls and MMI
Casepacker
These systems can process different carton types, as RSC, open top cartons, separate cover and other cartons on request.
This picture shows the automatic top and side loading of cotton pads.
We can offer several types of Automatic casepacking with the capacity up to:
- 20 bags per minute
- 45 bags per minute
- 75 bags per minute
Palletizing
Special for the cotton market VMI developed a palletizer which processes all known cartons and pallets for this market. A hands off production situation can be created by a flexible and reliable automatic palletizer.
The first picture shows the palletizing robot handling a pallet. The second picture shows the robot palletizing system on a track.
The cases of up to four different production machines can be supplied to the palletizer.
