As a truly international organization, VMI appreciates the needs to be flexible to the needs of customers on different countries and continents which is why since 1983 VMI has had a strong base in the USA, VMI Americas, offering both manufacturing and service facilities in its first plant outside the Netherlands.

Based in Stow, Ohio, the complex is conveniently located near several Interstate routes and a short drive from Cleveland and Akron/Canton airports. VMI Americas employs highly motivated and experienced engineers who can provide ideas and state-of-the-art process solutions to all customer requirements, providing an important return on investments. Extensive stocks of spare parts are held in stock for overnight distribution to anywhere in the world.

In 2004 the US sales office of VMI–AZ Extrusion joined VMI Americas, while VMI–MTI became part of the organization in 2006.
